Ghost Talk

In this week’s sermon, titled “Ghost Talk,” Lead Pastor Chris Baker acknowledges the Day of Pentecost and shares that he believes that we need a harvest of the Spirit of God in our lives once again.

As witnesses, we cannot afford to stop seeking to be filled with His power.

As the church, we cannot afford to remain the same – we need to be transformed.

As His children, we cannot afford to ignore His immediate presence.

We as a church need that Pentecostal power once again. The kind of power that needs to be attended to constantly, around the clock, so that it never goes out.

If the fire of the Spirit of God is going to live in our lives, it should never be allowed to go out!

The people of God that are walking in the Spirit, flowing in His gifts, cherishing His presence, and stirring up the fire He has placed within us.

Do you believe in the Holy Ghost? Are you going to make a difference in this world in these last days?

Why Do We Need The Holy Spirit?

  • Because we need the power to witness.
  • Because we as a church need to be transformed.
  • Because we cannot afford to ignore His immediate presence.

Time To Sober Up

In this week’s sermon, Lead Pastor Chris Baker shares that we need to sober up for the biggest battle Americans are facing today – the battle for the very soul of our nation.

We see it around us every single day. And it’s time for the church to sober up.

The erosion of our society has been a slow process, but we’ve seen it accelerate rapidly in the past few years. This nation that we’ve all comes to know and love continues to erode…

and become more of a finger in the face of God.

The position we’re in today is because of what we tolerated yesterday.

The position we’ll be in tomorrow will be because of what we tolerate today.

In Daniel’s day, he saw a lot of the same. But the situation was much worse.

Four Things Our Society Is In Danger Of Losing:

  • The sense of remembrance
  • The sense of reality
  • The sense of restraint
  • The sense of respect

Cited Bible Verses:

  • 1 Corinthians 10:12
  • Daniel 4:30
  • Daniel 4:32
  • Daniel 4:37
  • Daniel 5:1
  • Daniel 5:2
  • Daniel 5:3-4
  • Daniel 5:5
  • Daniel 5:7
  • Daniel 5:13
  • Daniel 5:18-23
  • Daniel 5:25
  • Daniel 5:30-31

Presidential Quotes Cited In Today’s Message:

“Those who long enjoy such privileges that we enjoy forget in time that others have died to win them.

Freedom is never really free, it’s almost always bought with the blood of Patriots.”

– President Franklin Roosevelt
“A nation that does not remember what it was yesterday does not know what it is today, or what it is trying to do.

We are about a futile thing if we do not know where we came from or what we have been about.”

– President Woodrow Wilson

Half and Half

In this week’s sermon, Lead Pastor Chris Baker shares his concerns about how the church is at risk of getting stuck in a “half way in, half way out” relationship with Jesus Christ.

A prevailing sin in the church today is the sin of lukewarmness.

The 7 churches mentioned in Revelation are symbolic for the churches of today.

They speak to us prophetically. They speak to us practically. They speak to us powerfully.

But the church is made up of individuals. Therefore, there is a message for each individual follower of The Lord in the story of Revelation.

Questions To Consider:

  • How is lukewarmness manifested?
  • What could possibly make your love grow cold?
  • Do you need to watch out for that “half and half” feeling in your own life?

Quoted Bible Verses:

  • Revelation 3:22
  • Matthew 18:20
  • Revelation 3:15-16
  • Mark 7:6

Under Pressure

In this week’s sermon, Lead Pastor Chris Baker gives us a glimpse of Paul’s problems that God told him to press through, despite being under pressure that can only be defined as “great”, as a means to bring glory to His kingdom.

A bird does not give up searching for worms today because it didn’t find any yesterday.

Understand that your purpose in Christ doesn’t end because of troubles, or because there is a missing piece in you. God brings out the best in us when faced with trouble, and we have to face the pressure, and pray!

As God is building His people, Pastor Chris figured out that strong rooted, God-fearing people are produced and built under pressure. We will never be able to understand the miracles of God without the troubles of life. The enemy of our souls would love to have us throw in the towel when things get tough.

Keep up the good fight solider!

Questions To Consider:

  • What is more important than carrying the word of God, holding it dear, and allowing it to properly flow through you?
  • The Bible tells us that treasures will be displayed in earthen vessels. How do we obtain this treasure?
  • Are you a diamond in the rough?
  • How are you going to allow Jesus to display the hidden treasures in your life by pressuring you and preparing you for Him?

Quoted Bible Verses:

  • 2 Corinthians 4:7-9
  • James 1:15
  • Proverbs 16:18
  • Proverbs 8:13
  • 2 Samuel 22:7
  • Luke 18:7
  • Psalm 66:19
  • 1 John 5:14
  • John 9:31
  • Hebrews 6:19
